Kate & Kenneth, St Martin’s Church / White Hart wedding
St Martin's church wedding with a reception at the White Hart
Time can be short when you are visiting from far away so to make things easier I popped up to the White Hart to meet Kate and Kenneth after they had their menu tasting/selection process. I was really taken with how friendly everyone was and impressed with Kate’s brother's scoring and statistical analysis of the meal choices.
St Martin’s Church in Castleton is a bit of a suprise inside. A conversion has added a function room upstairs with the original church window dominating one end and a great view of the downstairs at the other.
Loved how Kenneth greeted all the guests and all the hugs after the ceremony.
After the church they had to planned some photos at Saddleworth viaduct near Uppermill and did I know where it was? Lukily it’s less than a mile from where I set off from my Dobcross address! You’ll have to wait for part two for those though! The shoot at the viaduct taking only 12 minutes. That’s with a minute wait for people and a horse to pass! Being able to compose effectively under time pressure and create natural looking situations quickly and without too much fuss is the key to making it feel less of a rush.
Great speech by the best man which always makes for good “reaction shots” from the couple and guests. Love the page turning flurry too. At dusk we got out for a few more photos and the moon made an appearance. The Kaylee dancing was high energy fun and lots of people all all ages got involved.
