Richard & Vicki, Bolton Abbey & Utopia / Broughton Hall
wedding at Bolton Abbey, reception at Broughton Hall
Two fantastic locations in Yorkshire on a lovely day for a wedding.
No photos allowed during the service at Bolton Abbey but I sneaked a shot of the first kiss with the camera on silent shutter mode.
Utopia at Broughton Hall is fantastic for photography, wonderful grounds and the soft light inside was fantastic for the speeches. It also felt more private than some venues that share space with a large Hotel. Very highly recommended.
Some notes from Richard & Vicki:
We wanted the theme to be classic and romantic with a slight vintage feel because of my lace wedding dress. To compliment the theme the reception venue was dressed in white and silver with a few vintage touches.
Because both the Priory Church at Bolton Abbey and Utopia at Broughton Hall Estate are so picturesque we chose simple neutral colours for bridesmaids, flowers etc. Our flowers were done by the Hedgerow at Threshfield in Skipton. The venues also provided a superb backdrop to all our photos for which we have had some fantastic feedback from both family and friends.
