Emily and Alex were married on the 28th December. So not only did I dodge the rain this year in the summer, this one fitted in nicely between snow falls!
I’m going to make a few posts, one for me, one for Martin and one for the photostation.
Emily’s dress and shoes. Moving the dress to the middle of the bed and lacing it up made the shot, the darker wood background adding contrast:

Emily’s best friend Lucy as a bridesmaid:

The ceremony was at St Anne’s Church, Lydgate.
Revd. Chris Halliday says he loves weddings and you can tell.
There was no stress when Emily had to be a little(!) late and delivered a personal service for Emily and Alex.
The church website is here
Coming down the aisle with Granddad, with Alex looking back:

“With this ring…”:

Martin took the posed signing photos so I looked for some details:

Knowing I could get a lift back to my car later, I set off to the Clough Manor in the back of Emily and Alex’s Mini!

Very elegant shot at Clough Manor while waiting for the guests to be seated so the couple could be introduced.

Flowers and candles:

The room at Clough Manor looked great. Very creatively decorated by Ken a friend of the couple.
The Table plan was on the Christmas tree and the name on the tables were on Christmas decorations!
A theme of trees was explained in the speeches and it fitted in really well at this time of year.
The colour theme of the bride’s shoes and bridesmaid dresses was also carried through to the room.

If the well presented, very tasty food we received is anything to go by
I’d say things had gone up a notch or two since I had a meal there 18 months ago.
We both really enjoyed it. Stephan is always well organized and the rest of the staff were friendly and actively helpful.
They were very accommodating to the couple’s request that we had some room in the bar area to set up the paper roll for the photostation.
Congratulations Emily and Alex!
