Great location, stunning bride, amazing dress, lots of emotion and laughter.

David did this “dip” really well, first take.

Michelle is a close friend of Dee who runs The Wedding Bureau.
They have everything you might need for a wedding and can plan and theme a wedding the way you have imagined it.
Michelle and David had chosen a “Fire and Ice” theme with alternate tables dressed differently – right down to the menus.

I really loved they way Michelle and David looked at each other all day.

Everyone?!

Two of the photos above:

Love definitely seemed to be in the air!

Thanks to everyone for making it a great day to photograph.
I’m going to make a couple of quick updates before a holiday.
Stephen and Katie are a great couple and planned a really enjoyable day for themselves and family and friends.
Katie’s dad had been praying for a sunny day and the sky was a clear blue.

I was assisted by Tim Simpson at the church, who did a great job to get some wonderful candid images:

Stephen and Katie were married at Denshaw church. The vicar, Duncan, I believe is retired but fills in for local absences. Very good humoured.

Another shot from Tim:

On the way back to the reception we had 10 minutes or so outside Katie’s parents’ lovely house.
Building in time in your day for half an hour at a picturesque location is a great idea.

A stylish image on the large leather couches at the Village Hotel, Ashton.
An “old photo” sepia type tone seemed to suit the image. I’ll add a shot of the venue to the venues page when I get chance.

Good singer and DJ with decent lights added atmosphere to the dance floor.

Katie and Stephen planned a great wedding shared with loads of friends and family. Here are 102 of them!
Thanks to them for their cooperation all day especially getting the group shots at the church.
If you were a guest at Katie and Stephen’s wedding feel free to email me for a link to the full gallery with 400+ images.

Steve and Leyla are a great couple, full of life and love for each other.
Leyla got ready at her dad’s hotel (Oak House Hotel) which was great because the dining room is large with lots of window light.

The wedding was at The Saddleworth Hotel, a really good venue for photographs. The ceremony was planned to take place outside.
So, being summer, it stated to rain. The the sun came out. And then it rained a bit more.

Being outside for the cermony makes a nice change, the steps are a nice area for a group photo afterwards.

I keep a nice white umberella in the car and the shiny wet stone looked really great.

The speeches were great, some genuinely funny stories.

another photo to come
From slow dance to Russian dancing…

The night ended with fireworks.
It was so dark out there, this exposure was 3.2 seconds long, you can see the videographers screen lighting up his face. A flash from the fireworks lit up the crowd nicely.

Jen is a keen photographer and knows what she likes in a photograph.
She checked as to when I was available before choosing a date for the wedding.
No pressure then!
Well, what a great day! Emotion and fun in equal measure.
Jen looking fabulous at the start of the day:

And very excited to be coming down the aisle:

Emotion during the reading by Mick’s mother:

The room looked great with some lovely touches.
Interesting detail on the cake, and the favours:

The speeches were great fun, the best man came very well prepared:

And some of the reactions during the speeches:

Later on, nice weather for a walk:

A really good fun party later on, a good DJ with lots of people dancing:

Together on the dance floor:
